HUD 232 Underwriter: Join a highly profitable division of the bank with a long track record of healthy contribution to the bottom line. You will be dealing with sophisticated real estate projects providing financing for nursing homes, extended care facilities and intermediate care facilities. You will use HUD’s Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) guidelines and the new LEAN program allowing for faster and consistent processing and results. The use of these products has many distinct advantages to the borrower. No sales required, they have an experience group of originators who keep the pipeline full. Through the past two decades this has been a consistently growing area for the bank and always considered a highly desirable place to work offering career visibility and professional growth. The underwriter performs inspections and has indirect management responsibility of loan processors assigned to the transaction. This position services a national market. This is a highly professional group that works cohesively and has very little turnover. Compensation is based on experience and includes a competitive salary plus excellent benefits including 401k with company match, company funded retirement plan and stock purchase plan. Primary Responsibilities • Underwrite using HUD 232 and LIHCT parameters. • Perform underwriting and property inspections as needed. • Supervise loan processor assigned to transaction. • Responsible for accurate loan sizing and overall risk assessment and appraisal review. • Preparation and tracking of all product waivers. • Completion of underwriting narrative/committee package. • Review of commitment letter and hand-off to loan closing department. |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Basic Skills Required: • Extensive experience (4 years or more) underwriting using HUD 232 and LIHTC for Eldercare and Low Income Housing projects • Experience working with large projects. This position may handle deals larger then $100,000,000. • Efficient use of Ms-Excel • Strong interpersonal skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. |
