| Position Responsibilities: |
Publicly traded financial services company is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic individual to oversee their SEC reporting and technical accounting functions.
The Controller will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with technical accounting standards and overseeing all external reporting activities. The Controller will also coordinate audits with external auditors, internal auditors and regulatory authorities.
Relevant technical areas include but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley, financial analysis, budget to actual reporting, share-based compensation, income taxes, fixed assets and valuation.
Candidates must have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Master's degree and/or CPA a plus. Public accounting experience preferred.
7-12 years of related experience in financial services.
Thorough, hands-on experience and knowledge of GAAP and SEC treatments for public companies.
Exemplary communication, leadership, mentoring, and management skills.
