The person hired in this position will report directly to, and be mentored by, the firm’s President and CEO.
Summary:
•In the short term, and in part for purposes of integration into the culture of the company, provide overall management of the Portfolio Management function of the company on an ongoing basis, including oversight of the portfolio management teams.
•Serve as a member of the firm’s Credit Committee.
•Ensure proper balance is maintained between the company’s business objectives and portfolio quality through implementation of its Risk Management Model.
•Participate as a member of the company’s senior management team in the development of its annual operating budget, new products, tactical and strategic plans, and portfolio risk strategy.
•Interface extensively with marketing, underwriting and operations and the firm’s outside financial and legal service providers.

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
•Minimum ten years progressive experience in portfolio management, operations and underwriting in a lower middle market lending entity in asset based lending, factoring or commercial lending.
•Proven management experience in a fast paced, smaller, entrepreneurial finance company culture.
•Strong interpersonal and team management skills with demonstrated decision making, process management and employee evaluation skills.
•Strong analytical, technical and credit skills that can be honed further in a working capital lending environment combining factoring and asset based lending.
•Multi-tasking skills and the ability to balance priorities and be adaptable as necessary.
•Entrepreneurial mindset and desire and ability to move up to very senior management positions.
•Understanding of the importance of new business and the ability to work with new business originators on issues relating to new business proposals that reflect the company’s credit policies, pricing guidelines and approval processes.
•Portfolio oversight experience.
•Ability to recruit, hire, train and retain portfolio management personnel.
• Willingness to travel and relocate for the proper opportunity.
