| Position Responsibilities: |
Our client, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is currently searching for a motivated accounting professional to join their Investment Management Division in a Senior Level Accountant role. This position will serve as an integral part of the Investment Reporting group.
Key Responsibilities Include:
*Preparing timely and accurate investment financial statements *Handling disclosures on a consolidated as well as stand alone legal entity level.
*Reporting (on multiple bases) of accounting including US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
*This individual will work across departments and divisions in compiling the investment information and will be a resource in assisting with questions
*Ensuring accounting transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with appropriate accounting guidelines and deadlines
*Reviewing and analyzing data for completeness, material changes, variances and other appropriate information
*Understanding the flow of information, financial systems, appropriate reporting tools and using that knowledge to troubleshoot problems
*Assisting with special projects \ ad hoc requests as needed |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
*Minimum of 3 years of financial reporting experience
*Ability to work individually or as part of a team to meeting deadlines, complete assigned tasks, and contribute to the overall success of the team or department.
*Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
*Strong organization and prioritization abilities
*Detail oriented

| Preferred Qualifications: |
Previous experience in the financial industry and knowledge of investment vehicles, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) or Business Objects (or similar report writing tool) will be beneficial
