| Position Responsibilities: |
1. Minimum five years experience as a Controller in a bank or other financial services organization with responsibility for general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, liquidity management, interest rate risk analysis, management reporting, and investment management.
2. Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Masters Degree with Accounting preferred.
3. Possess excellent management skills. Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to get along well with diverse personalities.
4. Must have proven ability to hire, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth – a Leader, passionate about coaching personnel.
5. CPA audit experience. CPA qualifications.
6. Strong experience with accounting for a loan servicing portfolio.
7. Accounting experience with purchase and sale of financial assets.
8. Excellent budgetary skills.
9. Experience with accounting for mergers and acquisitions, subsidiaries, etc.
10. Experience with making board presentation and board interactions.
11. Investment and treasury skills.
12. Sarbanes Oxley, SEC accounting also a plus.
13. Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities, and demonstrated ability to manage computer operations and applications.
14. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management and staff required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization required.
15. Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities, demanding deadlines and sudden changes in workflow.
16. Ability to utilize a personal computer with word processing and spreadsheet software in addition to host applications.
