| Job Description: |
The Government Banking Sales Officer II is responsible for the development, retention and profitable management of depository relationships with local government entities. Develop new account relationships for the bank with government entities such as states, municipalities, school boards, and local government authorities. Actively manage new and existing account relationships with particular attention to maintaining profitability. Cross sell commercial and retail banking services to government customers. Identify and cultivate personal and professional relationships with governmental COI's and decision makers. Prepare and present to management periodic reports on business activities and results. Be aware of and ensure that Government Banking Customer needs and requirements are fulfilled. Keep informed about laws, regulations, and events which impact the government banking market. Attend and participate in associations, conferences, and conventions of government professionals. Review and decision overdrafts for governmental accounts. |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Five years of financial services industry new business development and portfolio management experience. Two or more years of practical experience in calling on and servicing government depository account relationships preferred. General knowledge and understanding of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures associated with local governments. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Strong PC skills in MS Outlook and MS Office Suite (Word and Excel). BA/BS degree preferred but not required. |
