Job Description:

VP Tax believes in exposing the tax team to all tax accounting, compliance, research, planning and analysis issues. Be involved in domestic tax analysis, compliance, research, provisions calculations. Various ad-oc projects and “what if” assignments. Highly visible center-stage role. Here is an overview of responsibility: • Prepare federal and state corporate and local income tax returns. • Compile and review tax accounting per FAS109 both federal and state calculations. • Perform research for various federal, state tax and local issues. • Respond to tax related questions from strategic business units. • Assist audit team with substantiation for federal and state issues. • Analyze tax accounting issues that include year-end tax provisions, effective tax rates, impact on business due to acquisitions and dispositions, etc. • Calculate and prepare estimated income tax payments. • Coordinate state audits and respond to federal audit requests. • Assist on tax transition projects that support acquisition integration. • Mentor professional staff and interns with regard to all aspects of tax compliance.

Education and Certifications/Licenses:

Bachelors, None, None

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:

BS required; MS Taxation or CPA ideal. Seek 10+ years of CPA or corporate tax experience within a business that is multi-state and preferably international. Any supervisory or training experience is a plus.
