COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER III
Successful, privately held East Bay bank is seeking a Commercial Loan officer to provide relationship-based services, including structuring complex loans, to commercial customers. Customer base consists of middle market companies with revenues from $15M to $500M; loans range from $3M to $30M. Position reports to the Commercial Loan Group Manager and may supervise one staff. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Primary responsibilities are business development, maintaining customer relationships and loan portfolio administration
• Maintain current knowledge of all bank products, including Cash Management, Trust, Brokerage, Leasing and International Services
• Call on prospective and existing clients to generate loans, deposits, fees and electronic banking services; Utilize sales and product knowledge to effectively cross-sell products to new or existing customers or to refer new or existing customers to other areas of the bank
• Interact with branch personnel to identify prospective business clients; make joint calls with other bank representatives
• Participate in community-oriented and professional organizations to secure networking and referral opportunities
• Analyze financial statements and business conditions to deduce and recommend credit decisions
• Prepare loan narratives for presentation to Senior Management
• Develop, approve and service all types of secured and unsecured loans
• Assume full responsibility for quality, completeness and accuracy of all documentation in the loan portfolio, ensuring that loans meet the criteria
• Ensure that the loan portfolio has a minimum number of loan workouts, watch list credits or maturing loans
• Contribute to Bank's overall management objectives by participating in meetings and supporting Bank goals

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• 7-10 years of solid commercial banking experience, including demonstrated credit and underwriting skills, successful sales experience, experience in building and maintaining a loan portfolio, and at least 2 years of experience in a large bank environment
• PC proficiency in a Windows environment, including strong skills in Excel
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents; Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Excellent communications skills, including the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
