JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Tax Manager, the incumbent will lead a team of professionals to work through difficult tax issues with clients. The manager will maintain control over all aspects of multiple engagements including budget, work product review, and staff supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with staff development through work review, offering constructive feedback and identifying areas for professional development. Project management responsibilities include tax research, managing time in relation to the engagement budget, as well as identifying new or expanded business opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervise multiple tax engagements and staff at one time.
• Supervise preparation of and review income tax returns
• Review tax provisions on audit and review engagements.
• Review complex tax returns
• Maintain good working relationships with assigned clients.
• Maintain expertise on current professional practices, as well as changes or proposed changes
to tax law.
• Assist with and maintain responsibility for the professional development of staff members.
• Perform tax planning and research; resolve complex tax issues. Give recommendations
to clients.
• Provide guidance and coordination to various staff members as needed.
• Assist Partners with practice development and practice management.
• Participate in monthly Scheduling Meetings and assist in the preparation of client billing
as requested.
• Represent the firm via membership(s) in professional and service organizations.
• Maintain regular contact with assigned clients. Develop good business relationships through
personal attention and timeliness of service.
• Recognize the opportunity for providing additional services to clients.

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA required,
• Minimum of five to seven years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on
taxation.
