Manager of Metro Lending ( Major Southwestern City)
• This is highly visible premier department Market Managers role within this $15 Billion + Bank Holding Company. It manages the most established, largest and longest term customer relationships in our market of well over 1 Million people.
• Business sector includes Commercial companies and Healthcare entities, with annual revenues in excess of $100MM and relationships expanding throughout a two state region within the Southwestern United States. Additionally, customers in this group have banking needs that requires lending relationships in multiple states.
• This group originates and manages large syndicated credits in excess of $100MM.
• Current loan volumes exceed $800MM in commitments and $500MM in outstandings.
• Deposits exceed $225MM
• Fee based business including treasury is over $5,500M
• Total NDO was approximately $20MM in 2007
• This group has generated good historical growth and maintains the largest commercial market share among financial institutions in this major Southwestern city.
• The group consists of just fewer than 10 Commercial banking officers, several credit specialists and two AA’s. The commercial loan officers range in experience from 3 to 20+ years. This group manages the director-related accounts for the bank.
• This group has a strong working relationship with all other lending areas as well as fee-based business groups. Common customers exist with Trust/PFS, Capital Markets Cash Management, and Real Estate.
• The credits in this group range from relatively straightforward commercial style credits to complicated commercial transactions involving a variety of industries, company sizes and credit structures.
• Structure and pricing protocol for these credits typically involves grid pricing, attorney-prepared loan agreements and multiple levels of internal credit negotiation and approvals.
• Most all customer relationships involve extensive treasury relationships.
• This area has shown good growth in NDO over the years and represents substantial opportunity for further growth.
• This is highly visible lending division within this bank holding company

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• 10-15 years banking experience
• Experience needs to have been developed in a large corporate banking environment in a large bank with total assets at a minimum of $15B or larger.
• Must have demonstrated management experience with successful commercial groups
• Must have demonstrated the ability to build a team and hire and maintain a staff
• Not looking for silo expertise. Needs to have a broad level of experience dealing with a variety of business types.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of bank credit and treasury products.
• Must have demonstrated strong credit skills
• Must possess strong written and verbal skills, able to express thoughts clearly and concisely.
• Ability to review, provide written comments and discuss variances in department budget a requirement.
• Must be a team oriented manager, creating an environment that produces success
• Must be willing to take an active role in the community to build a strong business network and contact base
• Must be able to provide excellent and proactive internal credit negotiation skills given the Banks culture and credit structure.
• Must be a leader in sales and sales management
• Knowledge of sales management software a plus.
• Must have shown the ability to develop young officers and trainees.
