| Job Description: |
To manage the cost accounting functions, inventory cost variance reporting, and inventory Net Realizable Value reserve for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1) Manage the quarterly cost roll process for raw materials and finished goods inventory
2) Manage the monthly reporting function for inventory variance analysis
3) Prepare and analyze the reserve calculation for obsolete inventory
4) Review departmental month end journal entries and account reconciliations
5) Assists in preparation of month-end journal entries and monthly reports pertaining to inventory variance
6) Provide continuous review of current processes for improvement opportunities
7) Work with other operational departments to ensure the accurate recording of inventory costs
8) Provide staff development
9) Support the external financial audit through preparation of audit schedules and fielding cost related audit questions
10) Support and participate in any additional projects deemed necessary
11) Support and participate in departmental metrics

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Four year Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university
• CPA required
• Six plus years experience
• Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques and principles
• Ability to apply knowledge of accounting and manufacturing
