SUMMARY
Provide financial decision-making information by preparing and analyzing inventory cost variance reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
1) Assist with the quarterly costing of raw material and finished goods inventory
2) Support departments during the costing process by collecting and analyzing standard costs in order to establish the most accurate inventory valuation
3) Responsible for the preparation and analysis of inventory cost variance reports in addition to the coordination of the monthly inventory cost variance meetings
4) Support external departments with the analysis of actual inventory cost variances from standard costs
5) Identify and implement improvements in areas contributing to inventory cost variances
6) Assist with month end financial close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
7) Provide continual review of current processes for improvement opportunities
8) Support the external financial audit thru preparation of audit schedules and fielding cost related audit questions
9) Support and participate in any additional projects deemed necessary
10) Support and participate in departmental metrics

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Four year Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Four plus years experience
• Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques and principles
• Ability to apply knowledge of accounting and manufacturing
