| Job Description: |
Manages the operations of the accounting department of Wisconsin-headquartered utility subsidiary, including: maintaining the general ledger, preparing the internal financial statements, reports and analyses, preparation and filing of numerous regulatory reports to be filed with various state and federal regulatory agencies, ensuring all accounting activities are completed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the FERC Uniform System of Accounts, all property accounting activities and providing the necessary support for utility-related external and internal financial reporting, external audit, rate proceeding and accounting research activities. Maintains a working relationship with various utility-related business units and departments, FERC and state commission auditors and joint plant partners as relates to utility-related accounting issues. |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, Certified Public Accountant, None |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Minimum 6 yrs professional accounting experience, as outlined above. Must have BA in Accounting and active CPA. Must have previous experience with SEC Reporting Functions. Must have previous, recent direct report management experience (5+ direct reports) |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Ideal candidate will have a combination of professional experience in the public accounting arena (preferably Big 4 public audit experience) and most recent outside of public audit, preferably in an accounting manager/assistant controller level position with a publicly traded company. Ideal candidate will have experience within the utilities industry. |
